C.O.E. è stato l'ultimo progetto del carismatico S. L. Coe, meglio conosciuto per la voce di albums, divenuti classici, come Angel Dust "To Dust You Will Decay" o Scanner "Terminal Earth". Con queste due registrazioni la voce di S. L. Coe è entrata nel cuore di molti fans in giro per il mondo. Dopo aver cantanto con i tedeschi Reactor in "Farewell to Reality" nel 1995, si ritira, concentrandosi come ingegnere del suono (proprietario dello studio Dust Music) e produttore (proprietario dell'etichetta 1MF) ma trova il tempo per gestire questo progetto con suoi buoni amici, dal 2000 al 2002. L'album viene pubblicato dalla Shark Records nel 2000 ed è dedicato alla musica che Coe ama di più: il Metal! In Germania era soprannominato "enfant terrible" e poco amato dalla "scena" per il suo modo di parlare vero e molto diretto. Il testo "Have a Drink on Me" mostra chiaramente che Coe aveva piu' di un sassolino nella scarpa da togliere! Motociclista, metallaro e fan dello Jack Daniels, Coe è sincero nelle sue canzoni, pratica ciò che predica. Ecco cosa scrive sulla sua pagina YT: "l'album "Metal" non è riuscito a raggiungere un pubblico più vasto a causa della stampa metal corrotta e disonesta di Rock Hard e Metal Hammer, che presenta band solo quando le case discografiche pagano per le pubblicità e adolescenti brufolosi "giornalisti" che pensano di poter giudicare la musica di veterani che sono sulla scena da oltre 20 anni! Dopo un danno all'udito e non disposto più ad affrontare la corruzione e la menzogna, Coe nel 2002 si ritira definitivamente". Per la prima volta su Lp e con un nuovo artwork questo è un sincero e sentito tributo ed omaggio della JRR ad un grande cantante che ha registrato classici del genere, ha dedicato la sua vita alla musica HM e, a mio modesto parere, ha ricevuto meno di quanto meritasse. C.O.E. was the last solo project band of the charismatic frontman S. L. Coe, most known as the voice of
classic albums like Angel Dust "To Dust You Will Decay" or Scanner "Terminal Earth". With these two recordings the voice of S. L. Coe entered into the hearts of many metal-fans
worldwide. After his last release with german Reactor on their "Farewell to Reality" in 1995, the singer retired dedicating his career as sound engineer (Dust Music studio owner) and producer (1MF label owner) but found time to run this project with good friends from 2000 to 2002.
The album was released by Shark Records in 2000 and dedicated to the music that Coe most loves: Metal!
In Germany he was entitled as "enfant terrible" and not beloved in the "scene" for his true and - straight in your face - talk. The track "Have a Drink on Me" shows clearly what Coe waited to say for long time to some guys!
A biker, a metalhead and a Jack Daniels fan, S.L. Coe sings his truth on his songs, he practises what he preaches.

After a hearing demage and not willing to deal with corruption and mendacity any more, S.L.Coe in 2002 decided to ultimately leave the music business".
Out first time on Lp and with a new artwork this is a true and heartfelt JRR's tribute and homage to a great singer who recorded HM classics, dedicated his life to HM music and in my little opinion, took less than he deserved.
